I’m the Enemy

The closer I get to the health profession, the more I realise I’m the enemy.

To the trans* folk, to the queer folk, to the folk without a name, I’m the enemy.

I’m the gatekeeper, the condescender, the withholder and the liar.

So you know what? I’m going to sit here. I’m going to listen. And I’m going to do my job. There’s no point me trying to fight battles, because I’ve already lost – I’m the enemy.

Good luck with your battles, guys. I’m done.
